I can't thank Eve enough for helping me and my dog Stan. She addressed all of the issues Stan had (especially Barking at possums and recall)and gave me the confidence, that with the training I had done with Stan under Eve's instructions and the traing that i continue to give him, he will turn out a well balanced and happier dog.I highly recomend Eve at Dogaholics Dog Training and Behaviour Services.

The setup was fantastic — each dog had its own separate space, and the dividers worked so well to help them stay calm without seeing each other. I also really appreciated the venue; my puppy loved having the chance to settle inside the class and then enjoy little breaks outside in the large green area. And of course, Eve was amazing — not only teaching us new techniques, but also sharing videos and resources that were incredibly helpful.

I recently used Eve for three training sessions for my dog, Willow. It's clear that Eve is very passionate about her work, taking time to explain theory and to provide practical demonstration of techniques to use. With practise at home, I've seen great success with Willow. Eve is a fantastic trainer and teacher and I would highly recommend her services.

Highly recommend Eve. She helped us with our reactive/anxious X Staffy who had just been recently attacked by another dog. Eve was kind and non judgmental during the consult. The space where she does the consult is also very dog specific --both an inside and outside area. We noticed positive progress in our dog within days of following her advice.

We reached out to Eve for a behaviour consultation after our dog started showing some concerning behaviours. The sessions were very informative and useful - not just for our dog but for us too. Eve took the time to explain why the behaviour was happening and gave us clear, practical strategies to support him. We also realise some of our actions were making things worse for our poor boy! We are really grateful and would highly recommend Dogaholics to anyone needing a knowledgeable and compassionate trainer and behaviourist!

Eve was very knowledgeable and offered fantastic advice. I have a very nervous rescue dog that usually takes a long time to settle in new places or around strangers but Eve made her feel so comfortable within our first visit, so quickly you would have thought it was her second home. Definitely recommend Dogaholics.

Greater confidence can be learned.

Learn how positive, science-based strategies can help your dog feel more secure, develop confidence and respond more calmly in everyday situations.

UNDERSTANDING DOG ANXIETY

Support for confidence, comfort and calmer behaviour.

Dogs can feel uncertain for many different reasons, including unfamiliar environments, noises, separation, changes in routine or previous experiences. Understanding what influences your dog helps create the right approach.

Dogaholics helps pet parents recognise their dog’s communication and build positive experiences at a pace their dog can manage. Personalised guidance develops confidence, encourages calmer responses and provides practical strategies for everyday life.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

Help your dog feel more secure in everyday life.

Confidence develops through positive experiences that help your dog understand their environment and learn they can navigate different situations successfully. The right approach allows those skills to grow gradually.

Science-based behaviour strategies can help your dog develop calmer responses without forcing them into situations before they are ready. Progress is shaped around the individual dog and what they can comfortably manage.

Dogaholics helps pet parents understand their dog’s needs and create practical opportunities to build confidence, giving both dog and pet parent clearer skills for approaching everyday life together.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR CHANGE

Build confidence with positive, personalised guidance.

Helping an anxious dog starts with understanding what influences their emotional response and creating experiences that allow them to feel safe enough to learn.

Positive, science-based strategies help your dog develop useful skills without unnecessary pressure. Training can then progress gradually as their confidence and ability to manage different situations develops.

We help pet parents recognise important body language, understand individual triggers and introduce practical exercises that encourage more comfortable responses over time.

The goal is sustainable progress that helps your dog feel increasingly secure while giving you greater confidence in how to guide and support them through everyday experiences.

MORE CONFIDENT EVERYDAY LIFE

Enjoy more relaxed experiences together.

As your dog becomes more confident, everyday situations can become easier to understand, approach and enjoy together.

You can learn to recognise what helps your dog feel comfortable, identify when they need more space and create opportunities for successful experiences that build confidence.

Consistent guidance across the household also gives your dog greater predictability, helping new responses become more familiar and dependable over time.

With appropriate support and repeated positive experiences, your dog can develop stronger coping skills while pet parents gain practical knowledge for creating calmer, more enjoyable experiences together.

our process

Why Dogaholics training works.

  1. Dogaholics identifies the underlying cause.

Most unwanted behaviours are symptoms, not the problem itself. Barking, pulling, lunging, anxiety and reactivity often stem from underlying emotions, learning experiences and unmet needs. We take the time to understand what is driving your dog’s behaviour so we can address the cause, not just manage the symptoms.

  1. Dogaholics science based training.

Using evidence-based behavioural science and positive kind reinforcement methods, we create a personalised training plan for your dog. By building new skills, confidence and emotional resilience, we help your dog learn better ways to respond to the world around them.
Dogaholics Process

  1. Happy and confident
lasting outcomes.

When the underlying cause is understood and the right skills are developed, meaningful change becomes possible. The result is a calmer, more confident dog, clearer communication, a stronger relationship and practical behaviours that support a happier life together.

Frequently asked questions

Positive behaviour training can help dogs develop confidence, learn useful coping skills and create more comfortable associations with situations they find challenging. The approach should be tailored to the individual dog and progress at a pace they can comfortably manage.
A dog’s response can be influenced by genetics, early experiences, changes in routine, unfamiliar environments, noises, separation, previous learning or other factors. Understanding when the behaviour occurs and how your dog communicates can help identify an appropriate way forward.
Training begins with understanding your dog and the situations influencing their behaviour. Positive reinforcement, thoughtful management and gradual confidence-building exercises can then be used to help your dog develop more comfortable responses and useful skills for everyday life.
Every dog progresses differently. Their history, individual temperament, the situations involved and opportunities to practise new skills can all influence the timeframe. A personalised approach focuses on achievable progress rather than expecting every dog to follow the same schedule.
Dogaholics can help pet parents understand behaviours associated with being left alone and develop an appropriate plan based on their dog and circumstances. Building comfort around separation generally involves gradual, carefully managed steps rather than simply increasing the length of time apart.
Professional behaviour guidance can be useful whenever you would like a clearer understanding of your dog or personalised strategies for helping them feel more confident. If behaviour changes suddenly or there are concerns about your dog’s health, speaking with your veterinarian can also be helpful.
